Trial sequence

An industrial blower RFQ is comparable only after each bidder uses the same sample gas, the same static-pressure definition and the same dirty-filter allowance. A dry motor run is not an airflow acceptance record.

  1. Representative sample

    State gas composition, temperature, site elevation and whether dust, moisture or corrosive constituents will reach the wheel. If the process gas is not air, density in lb/ft³ must sit next to the CFM figure.

  2. Demonstration

    Ask the factory to mark the proposed operating point on a curve rated at those conditions, and to show remaining surge margin when filters load and ducts add resistance.   3. Acceptance record

    Agree how airflow, static or total pressure, speed and gas conditions will be measured at FAT or SAT. Restart after a wheel or filter change should repeat that set, not only a rotation check.
