Collect required CFM, inches water gauge, gas composition, temperature, site elevation, density in lb/ft³, and whether the pressure is static or total. If contaminants will reach the wheel, the brief asks for material and wear provisions rather than a painted housing photo. Control boundary
Ask every industrial blower manufacturer to list: casing and wheel; motor and base if claimed; inlet and outlet accessories; silencers and their pressure loss; drive guards; installation; training; spare parts; shipping terms. Items left blank are treated as excluded. Connected load, three-phase supply and VFD range belong in the same table so plant contractors are not guessing. Surge or stall claims must name how far the operating point sits from the unstable portion of the curve—see the curve note.
